İstanbul Seismic Risk Mitigation and Emergency Preparedness Project (ISMEP) is governed by the Istanbul Project Coordination Unit which is established in 2006 under the Governorship of İstanbul. İSMEP is the first risk mitigation project of Türkiye with its studies on what to do before, during and after a potential earthquake in İstanbul.
As İstanbul Project Coordination Unit (IPCU), we aim to form a basis for a safe and secure tomorrow. Under the Istanbul Seismic Risk Mitigation and Emergency Preparedness Project (ISMEP) we started in 2006 with “we are strengthening our future” slogan, we are working to reduce the loss of life and property in a possible earthquake in İstanbul.
While identifying and producing solutions for Istanbul’s earthquake and disaster preparedness, it is aimed that the standards and methods applied in the project implementation will provide the desired quality.
