Istanbul Seismic Risk Mitigation and Emergency Preparedness Project (ISMEP) runned by the Istanbul Project Coordination Unit (IPCU) in Istanbul, continues to set an example for the world.
As IPCU, we hosted a Croatian team who came to benefit from our knowledge and experience about a project similar to ISMEP that will be implemented in the city of Zagreb. Our Deputy Director Yalçın Kaya, who accompanied the team, shared his views as follows;
“ISMEP Project has been carried out very successfully since 2006. We are pleased to host the Croatian team today as part of the ISMEP Project. During their visit as a technical team accompanied by the World Bank for a similar project they will undertake in Zagreb, Croatia, we are conducting site visits and sharing technical knowledge. We share our experiences within the scope of ISMEP, information about the schools and hospitals we have built, and the challenges we have faced. We are also providing them with any contribution we can make to ensure the successful completion of their projects”
