Within the scope of the ISMEP project, IPCU used seismic isolator technology in the reconstructed Okmeydanı Prof. Dr. Cemil Taşçıoğlu City Hospital, Göztepe Prof. Dr. Süleyman Yalçın City Hospital, Kartal Lütfi Kırdar City Hospital as well as in the retrofitting project of Marmara University Prof. Dr. Asaf Ataseven Hospital. Seismic isolators, a highly effective earthquake isolation technology, are used to reduce the structure’s interaction with seismic movements to ensure that the hospitals remain 100% operational after an earthquake.
